On 8 May 2019, on the occasion of the National Justice Day, the High Court and the High Judicial Council in cooperation with EURALIUS organized a conference dedicated to the ‘90th Anniversary of the First Albanian Civil Code (1929-2019)- Historical and Present Aspects’.
This event was attended by members of the High Judicial Council, former judges of the High Court, judges, candidate magistrates, pedagogues of the School of Magistrates and lawyers. While the Chairperson of the High Court provided an overview on the main novelties of First Albanian Civil Code, the Chairperson of the High Judicial Council underlined the historical importance of the adoption of the Code, as milestone for the establishment of a modern justice system. EURALIUS contributed with presentations outlining the possible impact of the EU Acquis on the Albanian Civil Code.
