On 26-27 June 2019, EURALIUS V in collaboration with PAMECA V and the School of Magistrates ('SoM') organized a third training on some amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code – “Judge of Preliminary Hearing” (the first training took place on 3-4 December 2018, second training took place on 3 June 2019).
This training carried a practical approach and experts steered the discussions on concrete examples of the organization of the preliminary hearing. In addition, EURALIUS and PAMECA experts provided guidance regarding interpretation aspects of the law and introduced EU practices in such regard. Experts from the SoM, presented the amendments of the Criminal Procedure Code with a focus on the judge of preliminary hearing and experiences in the application of the new amendments in such regard. Training took place in Tirana and was attended by around 40 magistrates and graduates who showed high interest for the topic and extensively participated in discussions.
