During November, EURALIUS V in collaboration with the School of Magistrates (‘SoM’) organized a three day training on introducing the novelties of the Law on State Guaranteed Legal Aid. EURALIUS Short Term Expert- Judge in Austria, delivered a presentation on introducing the Law on State Guaranteed Legal Aid,
primary and secondary legal aid and exemption for costs and fees. In addition, he introduced cases from ECHR and best EU practices in such regard. Expert from the SoM, presented Secondary Legal Aid in Civil Procedure and EURALIUS Senior Expert presented Secondary Legal Aid in Criminal Procedure. Training took place in Tirana and was attended by 40 magistrates who showed high interest for the topic and extensively participated in discussions.
